Attorney Hope Kirsch will provide a comprehensive overview of the laws pertaining to special education evaluations, re-evaluations and independent evaluations, including parent and student rights and school obligations.  Learn what you and your child entitled to, what schools must do and what they cannot do, the timelines and what you can do when schools do not comply.    

Neuropsychologist Dr. Lanie Zigler will provide parents with an understanding of the similarities and differences between school-based evaluation and independent evaluations, the difference between psychoeducational evaluations and neuropsychological evaluations, and she will teach parents how to interpret test results to help empower them at school meetings.
